Taller de Amigurumis

Aquí están las fotos del taller de amigurumis celebrado en el centro cultural Puertas de Castilla. Es la primera vez que enseño ganchillo a tanta gente a la vez (en total 20 alumnos y alumnas). Estoy muy contenta de que la asistencia se mantuviera, aunque el último día vino menos gente porque tuvimos que retrasarlo.

 En sólo 6 días de clase, los alumnos fueron capaces de realizar amigurumis como estos:

Warm Christmas

Are you preparing meetings and family dinners? If you want to take a break from all this madness, here are three ideas for drink something warm and sweet.

• The easiest thing: flavored hot chocolate. Prepare a cup of chocolate and throw in a tea bag or two. The most recommended to choose: vanilla herbal tea, peppermint herbal tea, Earl Grey, Chai tea (here how to make chai tea).

• Peppermint mocha. You'll need:

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

3 tablespoons powdered cocoa
3 tablespoons warm water

1/2 cup hot espresso
1+1/2 cups hot milk
Whipped cream (optional)

In a small saucepan, stir together the water and sugar, bringing to a soft boil.

Stirring frequently, until the sugar dissolves.

Reduce heat to a low simmer and add the peppermint extract, and simmer for 20 minutes.
In a large mug add the cocoa and water and mix together until a creamy paste forms.

Add the espresso on top, then 1 1/2 teaspoon of the peppermint simple syrup, and stir to mix.

Top the mug off with the hot milk and stir. If desired, add whipped cream.

•  The most Christmas: gingerbread latte. You'll need:

1/3 cup water

1/3 cup sugar

A 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup hot espresso
1 cup hot milk or soy milk

Whipped cream (optional)

In a small saucepan, combine the water, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and vanilla.

Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

Reduce heat and simmer slowly for 15 to 20 minutes.
Combine the espresso in a mug and add 1/4 cup of the gingerbread syrup.

Top off with the heated milk.

If you desire, garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of grated nutmeg.

ES: ¿Estás haciendo preparativos para las reuniones y comidas  familiares? Si te apetece tomar un descanso de toda esta locura aquí tienes tres ideas para beber algo calentito y dulce.

• Lo más fácil: dar al chocolate caliente un nuevo sabor. Prepara una taza de chocolate poco espesa y hunde en él una o dos bolsas de té aromático. Los más recomendados entre los que elegir son: té de naranja, vainilla o menta, también el Earl Grey o el té chai (aquí una sujerencia para este último)  

• Moca de menta. Necesitas: 

1/4 de taza de azúcar
1/4 de taza de agua
1/4 de cucharita de té de extracto de menta
3 cucharadas de chocolate en polvo
1/2 taza de expresso caliente
1 y 1/2 tazas de leche caliente
Nata montada (opcional)

En una cacerola pequeña, mezcla el agua y el azúcar hasta que hierva suavemente. 

Remueve con frecuencia hasta que el azucar se disuelva. 

Reduce el fuego y añade el extracto de menta. Cocina a fuego lento durante 20 minutos. 

En una taza grande añade el cacao y el agua y mezla hasta que se forme una pasta cremosa.

Añade el café y después una cucharadita y media del sirope de menta que acabas de hacer.

Añade en la parte superior la leche caliente y revuelve.

Si quieres puedes coronarlo todo con nata montada.

• Lo más navideño: leche de jengibre. Necesitas:

1/3 de taza de agua
1/3 de taza de azúcar
1 trozo de jengibre fresco de unos 5 cm, pelado y cortado en rodajas finas
1/4 de cucharadita de canela molida
1/4 de cucharadita de extracto de vainilla
1/2 taza de café expresso caliente
1 taza de leche caliente o leche de soja
Nata montada (opcional)

En una cacerola pequeña, mezcla el agua, el azúcar, la canela, el jengibre y la vainilla.

Lleva a ebullición, removiendo hasta que el azúcar se disuelva.

Reduce el fuego y cuece a fuego lento 15-20 minutos.

Añadelo a una taza con el expresso y pon 1/4 de taza del sirope de jangibre que acabas de hacer.
Completa con leche caliente. 

Si quieres decora con nata montada y una pizca de nuez moscada rallada.

The birds look for twigs and leaves to build nests, but how do crocheted birds ? With thread and wool, so their nests are soft and warm, that's what they like!

Los pajaros buscan ramas y hojas para construir sus nidos, pero ¿cómo lo hacen los pájaros de ganchillo? Con hilos y lana, así sus nidos son más suaves y calientes ¡como a ellos les gusta!

Spanish:
-Reune diferentes hebras de distintas longitudes.
-Enrolla las más largas alrededor de tus dedos.
-Apóyate en una sueperficie plana y dales forma circular. Luego crúzalas entre ellas para darles un aspecto desordenado.
-Añade y cruza nuevas hebras más cortas. No olvides poner una en el fondo.
-Ya está lista la cama. Si haces la forma circular más grande podrán caber dos o más pajaritos.
